Don’t stop.

Keep going.

She could no longer hide. Her pursuer was to close now. She forced her legs to carry her further. The ground below rose to pound away at the raw soles of her feet. A mixture of fear and adrenaline coursed through her veins, pumped foreword by each frantic beat of her heart. Her chest burned as the air forced itself in and out of her tired lungs, ripping her throat like sandpaper with each pass. Long, finger-like, branches stretched across her path making every attempt to slow her flight. She felt the wind rush passed her, its howl like mocking laughter to her ears. Her eyes darted about the shadows
